The Annual conference of the Union for the Mediterranean

An Union for the Mediterranean conference held in Barcelona on November 26, 2015 entitled the “Towards a common development agenda for the Mediterranean” This conference is envisaged to become an annual meeting of the UFM bringing together the main regional actors working  to promote sustainable development in the Mediterranean region. High level officials, eminent personalities, representatives from regional organisations and international financial institutions,and other hight officers from the civil society, the private sector and local authorities reviewing the UFM activities and achievements and discussing the perspectives for working together in coming years a better future for the Mediterranean region. Mr Mohamed Lakhdar GASMI CEO of the Company for the Studies and Development of the Northern Coasts of the City of Sfax accompanied by Mr Mohamed Ramzi ben Helal, the administrative and financial director of the Company attended this meeting as the representer of TAPARURA Project that was selected and certified  on December 4, 2014 “UPM” project. In fact, this is the first urban project in Tunisia which obtained this label that will facilitate access to project financing benefiting from a grant in the amount of up to 500,000 Euros for technical assistance including the development of the Construction Plan Study Details of the entire TAPARURA area.

During this conference, an exchange between Mr Mohamed Lakhdar GASMI the CEO of the company and  Mr Fathallah SEJELMASI  General Secretary of the Union for the Mediterranean was evoke the progress of the project Taparura .Mr SIJILMASSI present his interest to support the project and to visit the Sfax city to closely examine the project progress.
